When you need help with your digital marketing, we can help. Not only are we affiliated with Trout & Partners, Global Leaders in Strategic Positioning, we also have great staff and advisers. One of our newest advisers is Howard Sherman – a digital media specialist from the New York Times.
With more than 25 years experience as a journalist, digital media business manager and product strategist, Howard has helped launch or lead eight online content companies. He was a senior member of teams that built one of NYC’s earliest and largest Internet service providers, The New York Times’ first online events and entertainment guide and patent-pending technology to distribute content to social media platforms. Most recently, Howard received an Africa-based fellowship from the Grameen Foundation, a global nonprofit organization that provides the poor with access to financial services as well as mobile health and agriculture information and tools. He was previously General Manager of Emerging Business and before that Senior Vice President of Content at About.com, one of the largest sites on the Internet. He has also worked in government, as a strategy consultant for nonprofit organizations and for the Hartford Courant.
Companies Howard helped launch or lead include: Pipeline (NYC ISP), Yahoo Internet Life (ZiffDavis mag/website), New York Today (NYT’s first online city guide), About.com, SmartBrief (Email business news service), LifeWire (NYT startup that created and syndicated lifestyle content), Consumersearch (Product review website bought by NYT) and CalorieCount (Healthy eating website bought by NYT).
